April 13 Happy Easter! We had a very nice day before the rain came on Easter. We’re using the new photo album format for some of the photo (click the View Full Album option to look at more photos) Here is Melanie & Mason (<) & Sophie (>) in their Easter getups. Mason is holding one of her favorite books to eat, Fairy Bear & the Philosophers' Stone (hi Phoebe!). I like some of the close ups – Sophie on the left & Mason on the right. This was pre Easter sugar fest that made then run around like crazy people & not want to sleep last night. I wanted to try the new photo album stuff. If you click on View full album, you’ll see loads of photos over the last couple of weeks & months.
December 02 11 months! Almost a year old!Silliness is the order of the day at the McD household. Both girls have 8(!) teeth, Mason being quite the biter. The big news of the day is Sophie has taken her fist steps - we're sure Mason is not far behind. Recently, we had Halloween & dress ups: Aunty Molly being the dress up ring leader, as per usual. Sometimes, the best silliness is sitting in a big persons chair Or showing Dad how to really play the geetar: But really the bestest fun is the radio flyer. in the house And then in the swings at the park! Soon it's first birthday season & a very nice Christmas card. I promise more timely updates... September 02 Visit from Nan Nan & PopWe just had a 2 week visit from Nan Nan & Pop - all the way from Australia Here is a photo of the crew - Mason just wants to look at Mommy whereas Sophie likes the camera (or me)... Nan & Mason We went to the Aquarium - here's Melly getting ready to feed Sophie to the Sea Lions Here's Melly, Sophie, Josephine & Geana just before Josephine eats her hand. Ok who is the crazy woman & what is she doing to me Mason has started to love the new jail - I loved the first photo. The second shows what she does - gets up & stands hanging on. Maybe walking is not far off. Sophie is trying this trick but only gets up a little. I also gave Mason a course in crawling up the stairs which Melly says I will regret in a big way. One more before Nan Nan & Pop leave August 01 Hi from Mason!I took a long while to learn to type. i wasn't as fast as my sissy to write this. But I have better laughs. Just this morning my mummy told me something that I laughed & laughed at. "bah" I love that one. I laugh & laugh every time. bah! heh he heh he heh he heh cracks me up. Anyway, onto photos. in the first one, I take the position i deserve, coolest pretty girl you know. In the second, I show my range - inquisitivemness. Sissy Sophie is pretty cool, sometimes. other times she is a dork We like hanging with our cousin Hanna. i like eating furry toys. Here's Sophie & I at our tables getting ready to eat Here we are at our favorite new place - Madison Park with Mummy & Aunty Marnie June 04 My name is Sophie, I am good at riting. rightering, ummm writin;I think that there has been too much of my parents pretending my personality is different from what it is. You'd be surprised at the pressure put on a 5 month old these days. My days are very busy. I have to get up, have my diaper changed, eat something, play, look cute, dribble, and take my first nap. If that wasn't enough, i then have to get up again, play some more, eat, poop, dribble & make funny sounds to mask the fact that I am quite eloquent. I may choose to have a nap after this grueling schedule, or as is my favorite, stay up and play some more. Then i like to not go to sleep & whine a bit - it keeps them on their feet. We then will go on a walk - or as we prefer to call it a sit & push because we just sit there like the royalty we believe we are and get pushed around. then more food, playing, poop, & dribbling. i like to finish the day looking especially cute & making funny noises until much later into the evening than i am allowed. My favorite toys are air bear, polar, pink lily & now the neglecta-saucer. i bet you are wondering how i get all of this in. We have a staff, I shall call them mum mum & dada if i could talk. but I can't. and Ailyn we like her. and aunty Mooly. finally, i like my twin who they think is called Mason but in our language she is called aaaaiiiirrriiigggiiiaaaa. I am known as aaaiiigggiiirrriiaaaa. below are some pictures of me I am going to be in the Olympics or my special martial arts move i call "foot of death" - you'll note the intent look on my face as i show my secret move. Sometimes you can have shock and awe. other times a poop. Do you think everything is ok in my mommy's head? Yo! you don't wanna mess wit me 7 my crew on the mean streets of, err, Madison Park. I think Mason is funny. May 11 Happy Mothers Day!Today is the first Mothers day & I am constantly amazed at how incredible Melanie is at the job. Makes me love my wife more & more. The babies are growing, make cure squeeky noises & spending a bunch more time interacting with each other. Right now, Melanie is on the carpet with Sophie & Mason is upstairs having a nap. It's been a while since the last post so I will put loads of photos. First up is a set Melanie took the other day. I just love this first one of Melanie & Mason. I love this set we took this morning The other day was very nice (where is our summer? is a common question) & we hung out on the deck. Below is a shot of Melanie feeding the babies together - what you have to learn to do. April 13 Bumbo-palooza, aka the Melanie ShowWe have babies who can sit upright. This has led to the latest craze in our house - the Bumbo! Linder turned us onto this marvel of modern design & manufacturing. So far, Sophie is the big winner in the Bumbo events. Enough of my yakking... What you talking about Willis? Sophie showing her Bumbo prowess. A slight non bumbo related detour into absolute cuteness. <Sophie.Mason> We'll put these 2 photos in the "Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk, you knucklehead!" category. I like to think of these photos as Churchill & Roosevelt at the conference in Yalta. Max played the part of Stalin. There is still much discussion over whether Roosevelt wore a onsie. We do know by then Churchill was wearing a Diaper. <Sophine/Mason> Turns out whatever problems you have negotiating around Poland, the Curzon Line, or the make up of the UN Security Council are always made better by Mum.
